Named for Pittsburgh’s nickname, the RENAISSANCE CITY WINDS perform classical and contemporary chamber music for 2-13 winds in programs featuring innovative collaborations with poetry reading and guest musicians on harp, voice, piano, organ, harpsichord and guitar. American music is a specialty and school residencies include a unique composer program. The Winds’ credits include several CDs, performances at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall and many national grants.
